Luke Hogan
I have been fishing since I’m 13 years old, began fly fishing and fly tying at the early age of 14 and have been hooked since, I specialise in traditional trout flies, nymphs perdigons, dries, buzzers, streamers, but my favourite to tie are salmon flies because of the art involved in tying them, mainly modern salmon flies, singles, doubles, trebles, modern tubes, mini coneheads, and more. Most of my fishing life I’ve fished the river suir in my hometown of Carrick-On-Suir a great trout river, and have been fishing Ardaire Springs since it opened as a teenager always recieving good guidance from Ned. In recent years I’ve moved county and set up life in Cork City, so today I mainly fish the River Lee in the heart of the city, a brilliant trout and salmon river and some of the best salmon fly fishing I’ve come across, all in all I still travel back from time to time to fish Ardaire Springs as the fishing keeps me coming back.
Looking forward to connecting and seeing new faces in May, don’t be shy to say hi! Until then, all the best everyone!
